Inp.polri.go.id – Bali. Several main delegations or the VVIP guests of the 10th World Water Forum will be exempt from levies on foreign tourists, says Head of Bali Tourism Office, Tjok Bagus Pemayun on Friday (4/26/2024).
“There are several delegations that will be exempted. Even if they proposed the other names, we will first have to verify them,” said Tjok Pemayun.
From February 14th, 2024, Bali has issued Bali Regional Regulation (Perda) Number 6 of 2023 concerning Levies for Foreign Tourists for the Protection of Bali's Culture and Natural Environment.
The regulation will obligate foreigners to pay IDR 150,000 for every visit to Bali, and this policy also applies to delegates of the 10th World Water Forum.
“The committee will choose which VVIP guests who will get the exempt, while the rest still have to comply with the regulation,” continued Tjok Pemayun
As of now, Tjok Pemayun and the committee still have not discussed the VVIP guests as they are still focusing on preparing tourism facilities and gathering places.
