inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The National Food Agency (Bapanas) stated that the government's rice reserves (CBP), which currently stand at 5.3 million tons, are a crucial asset in strengthening national food security amidst global dynamics and global food inflation pressures.

Yudhi, Head of the Bapanas Food Supply Stabilization Working Team, stated that this achievement is the highest in the history of national records and demonstrates Indonesia's increasingly robust food security.

"The strong availability of rice reinforces Indonesia's position in maintaining food supplies amidst various global challenges and the dynamics of global food inflation," said Yudhi on Thursday (6/11/2026).

According to him, rice stocks managed by the State Logistics Agency (Bulog) have now reached 5.33 million tons. He called this figure a major achievement, demonstrating the success of efforts to strengthen national food reserves.

"Our government's rice reserves managed by Bulog have now reached 5.33 million tons. This is a great achievement for all of us, the highest ever achieved in the history of this republic," said Yudhi.

Bapanas assesses that food availability and affordability are two key factors in maintaining price stability while protecting public purchasing power. Therefore, the government continues to strengthen various food stabilization instruments, both through strengthening stocks and market monitoring.

"In the context of controlling food inflation, the two pillars of food availability and affordability are crucial. They are like two sides of the same coin that cannot be separated," said Team Leader Yudhi.

To ensure food prices remain under control, Bapanas established the 2026 Clean Sweep (Saber) Task Force for Violations of Prices, Quality, and Food Safety, involving various ministries, institutions, regional governments, and law enforcement officials. The task force is tasked with identifying and verifying potential violations of the Government Reference Price (HAP), the Highest Retail Price (HET), and food quality and safety.
