inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. A father with the initials of JS (55) from Patumbak District, Deli Serdang Regent, who molested his own stepdaughter, was successfully secured by Criminal Investigation Unit of the Women and Children Protection (PPA) of the Medan Police, Tuesday (26/7). Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of Medan Police, Police Commissioner Teuku Fathir Mustafa, accompanied by the Head of PPA, AKP. Mardianta Br. Ginting, said the victim is only 16 years old. "The molester was married to the victim's mother since 2007 and based on his confession, he started molested her daughter from 2019 to April 2022 and admitted that he did often times," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of Medan Police, Tuesday (26/7/2022). "He will be charged with the article of sexual intercourse with a child with a maximum penalty of 15 years in prison," he said. For the victim’s mental health, Commissioner Teuku explained that his party is still treating the victim to assess her condition. "We, Medan Police will work closely with related agencies to try to heal her trauma," he concluded.
