inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Vice Minister of Family Development Ratu Ayu Isyana Bagoes Oka, emphasized the importance of the role of fathers in parenting as the foundation of a healthy and happy family.

"Children need father and mother figures. The presence of both figures creates an emotional balance that supports optimal growth and development," said Ratu Ayu on Monday (4/21/2025).

She highlighted that father involvement is not only about being physically present, but also being active in family planning to decision-making, including the vasectomy program.

"We want to change the mindset that children and family matters are only the mother's responsibility. Men must also take part, from planning to parenting," she said.

Ratu even confirmed the Governor of North Sumatra Bobby Nasution and the Vice Mayor of Binjai Hasanul Jihadi as Exemplary Father Movers. Both are expected to be examples of how male leadership can strengthen family resilience.
