"We have not seen the data in detail, but the principle of employment norms is clear: there should be no discrimination," he said, Monday (4/21/2025).
He also highlighted the importance of a fair and transparent recruitment process.
"The recruitment process must be fair and transparent. That's what we are fighting for," continued the Minister of Manpower.
Data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) recorded that the female labor force participation rate (TPAK) as of February 2024 reached 55.41 percent, up around one percent from the previous year. Meanwhile, the female formal workforce was recorded at 36.32 percent, lower than men who reached 45.81 percent.
Minister Yassierli said that his party was still studying in more depth the factors that influence this participation, including culture and readiness of the work environment.
"Most importantly, there should be no discrimination in the workplace," he said.
He also mentioned the role of Vice Minister of Manpower Immanuel Ebenezer Gerungan in enforcing labor norms, according to the direction of President Prabowo Subianto.
