inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The kidnapping and assault case of a student in Banda Aceh has begun to unravel. The Banda Aceh Sub-regional Police Criminal Investigation Unit arrested two men suspected of involvement in the incident.
During the arrest, police also seized a short-barreled firearm and 13 rounds of ammunition suspected of being connected to the case.
The two alleged perpetrators are identified as DT (31), a student from Manduamas Baru, Manduamas District, Central Tapanuli, North Sumatra, and MUL (40), a resident of West Lamteumen, Jaya Baru District, Banda Aceh.
Banda Aceh Sub-regional Police Chief, Senior Superintendent Teguh Priyambodo Nugroho, through the Head of Criminal Investigation, Police Assistant Superintendent Miftahuda Dizha Fezuono, stated that the arrests of the two alleged perpetrators were the result of a report filed by the victim, Rian Risky Ramdhan (33).
"From the results of the investigation and development, the team successfully arrested two individuals suspected of involvement in the kidnapping and assault," said Dizha in a statement on Thursday (9/10/2026).
The first arrest was made on Thursday (9/3/2026). At that time, the team received information that one of the alleged perpetrators was in the Simpang Dodik area, Jaya Baru District, Banda Aceh.
From the initial investigation, the alleged perpetrator admitted his involvement in the act, along with MUL and another man who is still at large.
The police are currently investigating to uncover the roles of each perpetrator and are hunting for the remaining perpetrator, who remains unaccounted for.
