inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Minister of Population and Family Development, Wihaji, emphasized the importance of monitoring the distribution of Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) at Nutrition Fulfillment Service Units (SPPG).
He made this statement in response to the current global geopolitical conditions that influence internal policies within ministries/agencies, and he also saw MBG as a potential buffer for food security.
"SPPGs need to be properly monitored by prioritizing service and quality. This is key to ensuring that the benefits of the MBG program are optimally felt by the priority target communities," explained Wihaji on Wednesday (4/8/2026).
He emphasized that strengthening the implementation of the President's priority programs is also a primary focus, particularly MBG for pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, and non-PAUD toddlers (3B). Based on Presidential Regulation Number 115 Article 47, the Ministry of Population and Family Development has the mandate to distribute the program.
Wihaji also reminded all heads of provincial representatives to monitor the distribution of MBG daily to ensure the program is on target.
"Field officers are also expected to supervise the SPPG to ensure that MBG distribution runs smoothly, on target, and consistently," Wihaji said.
