Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian Navy has deployed 10 warships and helicopters as part of the VVIP Security Joint Task Force for the inauguration of the President and Vice President for the 2024-2029 term.
The task force will patrol the waters around Jakarta to ensure security., according to antaranews.com on Friday (18/10/2024).
Among the warships deployed are KRI I Gusti Ngurah Rai-332, KRI Semarang-594, and KRI Bung Karno-369.
Over 3,500 Marine troops from Jakarta and Surabaya have been stationed on land. Anti-submarine helicopters, such as Heli Panther HS-1308, will also assist.
The task force will operate from 17 to 23 October 2024, covering the inauguration of Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka, scheduled for 20 October 2024. Delegations from over 30 countries are expected to attend the event in Jakarta, including representatives from Germany, Qatar, Australia, and the U.S.
