Inp.polri.go.id - Semarang. An accident on the Semarang-Surakarta toll road in Ungaran, Semarang Regency, Central Java, claiming the lives four people on Friday (18/10/2024). 

The victims were passengers of a minibus carrying students from the Islamic Center Bantul.

Semarang Sub-regional Police Head of Traffic Chief Assistant Senior Inspector Lingga Ramdhani said that the minibus, with registration number DK-7834-AI, was transporting 25 passengers. 

Among the four who lost their lives were a caretaker and three students, according to antaranew.com.

The accident occurred when the driver swerved to avoid a car that braked suddenly, causing the minibus to veer off course and crash into a roadside barrier.

The injured and deceased were immediately taken to RSUD Ungaran for further medical attention.
