inp.polri.go.id – North Sumatra Police Chief Inspector General R. Z. Panca Putra, together with key officials, directly inspected the wildfires that burns the forest in Samosir Regecy using a helicopter, Monday (8/8/22).
Inspector General R. Z. Panca Putra said the handling of wildfires in Samosir must be carried out in a well-integrated manner and hand-in-hand considering that this incident has occurred continuously
“The wildfires have the potential to destroy our village, so don't get tired of telling it to the community. The security authorities must go directly to patrol. Build an integrated handling mechanism”, explained the Police Chief.
According to the Two-Star General, this fire was initially intended to clear the land. Therefore, he implored the village head to educate the people about proper way in clearing the land.
“Building public awareness is the most important thing that must be done, and preventive measures also must be prioritized,” said Inspector General Panca Putra. “Let's work on handling this issue together," implored the Police Chief.
