Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Thousands of Indonesians gathered in Central Jakarta’s Patung Kuda area on Sunday (12/10/2025) to join a peaceful rally titled “Indonesia Against Genocide” in solidarity with the people of Palestine.

“Although we welcome reports of a ceasefire in Gaza, the potential for genocide to recur remains,” said Syauki Hafiz, one of the rally organizers, urging for a “stronger and more impactful movement” to defend Palestinian rights, as quoted by antaranews.com.

Participants, mostly dressed in white, waved Palestinian and Indonesian flags, chanted slogans, and carried banners calling for justice and an end to Israel’s military actions in Gaza. The crowd stretched from the Patung Kuda landmark to the gates of Monas and along MH Thamrin Avenue, filling the streets with songs and poetry about the suffering in Gaza.

The event was organized by various civic, youth, and student organizations, reflecting Indonesia’s long-standing solidarity with the Palestinian cause.
