inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police revealed the developments in the case of the destruction of CCTV cameras belonging to the Jakarta Provincial Government during the riots at the House of Representatives (DPR) in Senayan, Jakarta, on Thursday (8/27/2026).

Three people suspected of being involved in the CCTV destruction have now been detained by the police. The three individuals are identified as FR, MH, and FM.

The Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police Public Relations Chief, Senior Superintendent Budi Hermanto, stated that the arrests were made after investigators expanded their investigation of the previously detained suspects.

"The latest development showed that three more people were detained by the police investigators between last night and this morning," Budi stated in a press conference at The Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police Headquarters, Jakarta, Wednesday (9/2/2026).

With the addition of these three individuals, the police are still conducting investigations to uncover the details of their respective roles in the CCTV destruction.

Budi explained that investigators had previously named 44 people as suspects in the case of the destruction of CCTV cameras belonging to the Jakarta Provincial Government.

"Based on our investigation, the three individuals recently arrested played a role in the vandalism that occurred in front of the DPR-MPR RI Building," he said.

However, the police have not yet revealed the identities or involvement of FR, MH, and FM in detail. Investigators are still conducting an in-depth investigation to determine their roles in the series of events.

Budi ensured that developments in the case will continue to be communicated to the public once the investigation results are more complete.

"Investigators are still conducting an in-depth investigation, and of course, we will continue to update the media and the public," he said.
