Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Minister of Finance Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa detailed the government’s "survival mode" strategy, a rigorous economic stance designed to protect national growth amid mounting global pressures.
Speaking in Jakarta on Friday (24/4/2026) he said that the current climate leaves no room for ineffective policies or administrative errors.
"It means we can no longer afford to be careless. We do not have the luxury to waste any opportunities we can create," Minister Purbaya said, as cited by antaranews.com.
He explained that "survival mode" involves optimizing every available resource and fiscal instrument to ensure economic stability and measurable results.
Central to this strategy is the newly formed Task Force for the Acceleration of Government Programs, established under Presidential Decree No. 4 of 2026. This task force is charged with "debottlenecking" policy implementation and closing gaps in state revenue.
Minister Purbaya highlighted that a primary focus will be eliminating systemic inefficiencies and leakages within the tax and customs sectors to maximize state income during these uncertain times.
