Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. A tragic collision between a long-distance Argo Bromo Anggrek train and a KRL Commuter Line at East Bekasi Station on Monday night (27/4/2026) has left three people dead and 29 others injured.
The accident occurred at approximately 9 pm when the long-distance train entered a track occupied by a stationary Commuter Line train heading toward Cikarang.
The evaluation process is deepening the exact number of victims as the main obstacle was passengers being trapped in narrow spaces, but the police, SAR, and military are working cohesively on the scene, according to antaranews.com.
State railway company PT KAI confirmed that all 240 passengers aboard the Argo Bromo Anggrek are safe. Meanwhile, 38 affected Commuter Line passengers have been evacuated to several nearby hospitals, including Bekasi Regional Hospital and Primaya Hospital. PT KAI has issued a formal apology and is prioritizing victim care while investigating the signaling or track error.
