Inp.polri.go.id - Banda Aceh. In the early hours of Tuesday (23/1/2024), three Rohingya refugees made an escape from the temporary shelter at Balee Meuseuraya Aceh (BMA) in Banda Aceh. The escapees, all male, were identified as Sana Ullah (22), Shobir Hossain (19), and Azim Ultah (19), according to Assistant Superintendent Suryo, the Head of Intelligence at the Banda Aceh Sub-regional Police. He confirmed that the trio managed to flee following an examination at BMA, evading the authorities by presumably leaving through the rear of the building during the dawn hours, antaranews.com reported. Investigations revealed that one of the Rohingya refugees escaped without carrying any belongings except for UNHCR identity bracelets left behind by two of them. Believing they are still within the vicinity of Banda Aceh, Chief Suryo urged the public to report any suspicious individuals resembling the description of the three Rohingya refugees to the nearest police authorities.
