inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP)'s Criminal Investigation Agency has completed the case files, or P-21, for three suspects in the illegal mobile phone smuggling case from China to Indonesia.
The three suspects are DCP alias PR, SJ, a Chinese citizen, and MT, the Director of PT TSL.
"The Public Prosecutor (JPU) has informed investigators that the investigation results for this case have been declared complete, or P-21," said Brigadier General Ade Safri Simanjuntak, Director of Special Economic Crimes at the INP's Criminal Investigation Agency, in a written statement on Wednesday (7/8/2026).
He added that the P-21s were prepared by prosecutors from three different District Attorney's offices. Ade specified that SJ was filed by the West Jakarta District Attorney's Office, DCP by the North Jakarta District Attorney's Office, and MT by the Sidoarjo District Attorney's Office.
He stated that another suspect, TW, the Director of PT TSI, remains a fugitive. Ade emphasized that his team will pursue TW by coordinating with relevant agencies to expedite his arrest.
"Suspect TW has been listed as a fugitive, and investigators are currently searching for him," he said.
He further explained that based on his role, DCP is suspected of controlling the illegal importation of mobile phones, from procurement of goods from abroad to distribution within Indonesia.
Furthermore, MT and TW are suspected of assisting in the manufacturing, processing, and provision of documents used to facilitate the illegal importation.
In this case, investigators have seized Android phones, iPhones, and other electronic devices worth IDR 250 billion, along with baby supplies worth IDR 3 billion. Additionally, additional evidence seized includes thousands of mobile phones and their boxes, hundreds of chargers, and several units of packing and service equipment worth IDR 10 billion.
"This law enforcement action represents INP's concrete implementation of support for President Prabowo Subianto's Asta Cita program, particularly the seventh pillar, which focuses on strengthening legal reform, preventing corruption, and eradicating economic crimes and smuggling," explained Ade.
