Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian Military (TNI) has deployed its military police intelligence units to help authorities manage mass organizations accused of thuggery and disturbing public order.

“We work closely with the police to safeguard public security and order,” said Military Police Commander Major General. Yusri Nuryanto. on Wednesday (7/5/2025) as reported by antaranews.com 

He said that the military police  intelligence teams have the capability to investigate and ensure physical security.

The TNI will share intelligence with the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) and the Strategic Intelligence Agency (BAIS) to prevent future disruptions. Legal action will target criminal acts disguised as ormas activities, including any involvement by rogue TNI members.

“If civilians are involved, police will lead. If our personnel are involved, we will act,” Commander Yusri added.

The move follows a disturbance allegedly caused by an ormas at the BYD automotive factory in West Java. Presidential adviser General (ret.) Dudung Abdurachman confirmed President Prabowo is monitoring the issue closely.
