Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian Military (TNI)’s Habema Task Force short three members of the armed criminal group (KKB) to death during a military operation in Tigilobak Village, Puncak District, Papua, on Thursday.

“Ado Wanimbo, identified as the regional commander of Ugimba under Kemabu Command, was among the deceased. He was on the Mimika Police most-wanted list since 2018,” said Habema Operations Commander Major General Lucky Avianto in an official statement on Friday (1/8/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.

The operation followed up on the 2019 incident in Ugimba, where an KKB group killed a TNI soldier and seized his SS2 V4 assault rifle. That same weapon, bearing serial number BF.CS 024739, was recovered during Thursday’s clash.

Other items seized included an air rifle, three magazines, 64 rounds of ammunition, four mobile phones, ID cards, cash, and personal belongings.
