inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Directorate of Consumer Protection and Trade Order (PKTN) of the Trade Ministry, together with related ministries/institutions, secured a total of suspected illegal products worth IDR 15 billion.
Minister of Trade (Mendag) Budi Santoso said that the products were the result of supervision from January-March 2025.
The goods are suspected of not meeting the provisions such as not complying with SNI, not using Indonesian language labels, not having manuals or warranty cards, and not having a health, safety, security and environment (K3L) registration number.
"The estimated economic value of the goods as a whole is IDR 15 billion," said the Minister of Trade, Budi Santoso, on Thursday (4/17/2025).
Minister Budi said that the goods had been secured with the status of goods under supervision. For imported products, there were 10 companies with five categories of imported products, namely electronics, children's toys, textiles and textile products (TPT) and metal products.
Meanwhile, for local products, 10 companies were found to have violated two product categories, namely electronics and footwear.
As a follow-up, the Ministry of Trade will ask for clarification regarding goods that do not comply with the regulations.
"We also ask business actors to immediately withdraw goods from circulation and fulfill the necessary administrative permits such as K3L, SNI labels, and warranty card manuals," concluded the Minister of Trade.
