inp.polri.go.id - Garut. The Sub-regional Police of Garut determines a doctor named Muhammad Syafril Firdaus (MSF) as the suspect of sexual harassment case towards his own patients at a private medical clinic.

“It is true, he has been determined as the suspect,” says the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of Garut Sub-regional Police, Senior Police Inspector Joko Prihatin on Thursday (4/17/2025).

According to him, the determination of the suspect was made after investigators conducted witness and expert examinations. Then, there were two sufficient pieces of evidence that the suspect had sexually harassed his patient.

The suspect was then charged with Article 6 letters B and C, and/or Article 15 paragraph 1 letter B of Law of the Republic of Indonesia no. 12 of 2002 concerning the crime of sexual violence. The suspect is threatened with a maximum sentence of 15 years in prison
