Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Chief of the Indonesian National Police (INP) Traffic Corps, Inspector General Agus Suryonugroho, has guaranteed that the government is fully committed to ensuring the safety and security of citizens during the 2026 Eid al-Fitr migration through "Operasi Ketupat."
"Operasi Ketupat is a humanitarian operation. The state is present not only to manage traffic or escort the flow of travelers but also to safeguard the social and spiritual momentum of the community throughout Ramadan and Idul Fitri," he said after a meeting with transportation experts and Jasa Raharja officials on Wednesday (11/3/2026), as cited by antaranews.com.
Chief Agus said that this collaborative approach aims to minimize accidents and congestion across major transit corridors.
To ensure the success of the 2026 operation, the Traffic Corps is prioritizing synergy with stakeholders, including the Ministry of Transportation and academic experts, and utilizing advanced technology to determine situational traffic engineering.
