inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Chief of Traffic Police Corps, in cooperation with the Ministry of Home Affairs and Jasa Raharja, launched the road tax digitalisation programme through a hologram security sticker as proof of vehicle tax payment.
This programme aims to support the tax payment obedience movement campaigned by the government and push the digital transformation in public service, especially motor vehicle tax.
Chief of Traffic Police Corps, Police Inspector General Istiono, said that he supported innovations conducted by the Ministry of Home Affairs in the effort of increasing regional tax revenue.
"I fully support innovations conducted by the Ministry of Home Affairs in the effort of increasing regional tax revenue. This is our control function and more effective mechanism to vehicle's project fundings", Police Inspector General Istiono said.
Police Inspector-General Istiono also added that the road tax digitisation could ease personnel's control in the field so they could identify which vehicle has paid the tax.
"Therefore, on the ground, it is easy to see whether a vehicle has paid the tax", he added.
On the same occasion, Directorate General of Regional Finance of Ministry of Home Affairs, Mochamad Ardian, said that, in the future, the institution would cooperate with Traffic Police Corps and Jasa Raharja would support and push innovations in increasing public obedience in paying taxes and integrating data of related institutions.
"In the future, we and Traffic Police Corps of Indonesian National Police and Jasa Raharja would push for more innovations to increase public awareness in paying taxes and data integration", Mochamad Ardian said.
