inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Head of the Indonesian National Police Traffic Corps, Inspector General Agus Suryonugroho, confirmed that the use of strobes and sirens on the highway has been temporarily suspended. This is because the use of strobes and sirens is currently under evaluation.
"The suspension is temporary while the evaluation is carried out," he explained when contacted by reporters on Saturday (9/20/2025).
Agus said that the use of sirens and strobes is no longer a priority because it can only be used in emergency situations. However, escorts are still available on priority vehicles.
According to Agus, his staff are advised not to carelessly turn on the rotator and siren. If it is not a priority, it is expected that they will not be turned on.
