Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesian National Police (INP)’s Traffic Corps Chief Inspector General Agus Suryonugroho has stressed the need for cultural transformation to improve public service amid a digital landscape where incidents can quickly go viral.
“Colleagues have worked hard in the field, but viral incidents still happen. This phenomenon must go hand in hand with cultural change. The past and present are different,” he said during a Monday morning (11/8/2025), assembly at NTMC Headquarters, as quoted by antaranews.com.
Chief Agus urged senior officers to mitigate such issues through proactive leadership, emphasizing that “your smile is the main road marker” and highlighting the success of the Polantas Menyapa program in fostering a positive public image.
He also reaffirmed traffic police support for the government’s zero over dimension and overload (ODOL) policy and encouraged officers to participate in Independence Day activities that promote nationalism among road users.
