inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Traffic Directorate (Ditlantas) of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police (Polda Metro Jaya) revealed that traffic on Jakarta's roads is smoother today. This is due to the work-from-home (WFH) policy for civil servants (ASN).

"Today, there is a significant difference in the volume of vehicles using the WFH policy, as seen from traffic flow monitoring," said Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police Traffic Director, Senior Superintendent Komarudin, when contacted on Friday (4/10/2026).

He explained that from this morning until 9:20 a.m., traffic volume had indeed decreased significantly. Several areas that typically experience congestion were smooth this morning, such as Jenderal Sudirman Street, Asia Afrika Street, and Gerbang Pemuda.

"The same is true on several roads, such as Sudirman, which runs from south to north, and then north to south. Then, on several other roads, such as Asia Afrika and Gerbang Pemuda, where long queues usually form at the Ladokgi Overpass until this hour," Komarudin explained.

Komarudin explained that traffic flow has been significantly reduced since then. Komarudin stated that there are still some congestion points. However, these congestions occur due to vehicle convergence or crossings at several points.
