Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesia has restored around 90 percent of land transportation access in disaster-hit areas of Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra following floods and landslides, the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture said on Thursday (25/12/2025).
“Out of 81 affected national road sections, 72 are now functioning, while nine are still under accelerated repair,” Minister Pratikno said during a disaster emergency media center briefing as reported by antaranews.com

He explained that recovery efforts are being carried out jointly by the central and regional administration, and volunteers to ensure logistics and basic services continue during the year-end period.
The disasters have displaced nearly 490,000 people across the three provinces, with more than 1,100 fatalities reported. Officials said transport recovery remains a priority to support evacuation, relief delivery, and early recovery.
