"From 2015-2024, we have built six Type A terminals and 44 ferry ports, and 53 Type A terminals and 54 ferry ports have been revitalized. In 10 years 57 land transportation infrastructures have been developed," said Director General of Land Transportation, Risyapudin Nursin on Monday (10/7/2024).

Nursin says that the construction of type A terminals and ports, along with its digitization effort, are spread throughout Indonesia. In addition, various connectivity service achievements such as pioneering road transportation are now present with 322 routes.

"The average percentage growth of the Pioneer Road Transport route network from 2015 to 2024 is 1.48 percent. This service is certainly very useful because it connects isolated areas or undeveloped areas with urban areas," he said.

He further mentioned that for the ferry sector, it has served 269 pioneer ferry routes with 104 pioneer ferry ships. In the last 5 years, the average percentage growth of the route was 4.77 percent and the percentage growth of ships was 4.54 percent.

"With this scheme, the government provides subsidies so that the tariff is set cheaper according to economic costs and people's purchasing power. The implementation of 'Buy The Service' is a manifestation of the implementation of Law No. 22 of 2009 concerning Traffic and Road Transportation," he explained.
