Head Ops of 2024 Damai Cartenz Operation Task Force, Brigadier General Faizal Ramadhani says his team and Puncak Jaya Sub-regional Police have arrested two members of the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) who were involved in shooting civilians and military members in Puncak Jaya Regency.

The two KKB group members were arrested on Saturday (10/5/2024) in Trans Wamena-Mulia street, Puncak Jaya regency.

“Currently the two criminals have been detained in Puncak Jaya Sub-regional Police HQ and examined by the investigators,” says Faizal on Tuesday (10/8/2024).

The two KKB members were said to be Alison Wonda alias Kumara and Yotenus Wonda alisa Maleki.

Faizal detailed that the two were arrested when they were in Tingginambut and Kalome. The two were involved in several criminal actions including the shooting of military members in Puncak Jaya last March. When they were arrested, three handphones, two bags, one noken bag, and three motorbikes were seized by the police as evidence.

“The joint force continues to capture another KKB member who were involved in shooting incident, either towards the civilians or security officials,” conclude Faizal.
