Inp.polri.go.id - Tangerang.  The Tangerang City Metropolitan Sub-regional Police have named the driver of a tronton wing box truck involved in a chaotic crash, as a suspect. 

The suspect, identified as JFB  (24), allegedly drove recklessly, hitting multiple vehicles and injuring six.

"JFB is charged under Articles 311 (2) and (4) in conjunction with Article 312 of the 2009 Traffic and Road Transport Law, facing up to 10 years in prison or a fine of R0 20 million," said Tangerang Police Chief Senior Superintendent Zain Dwi Nugroho on Sunday (3/11/2024).

The incident, which occurred on 31 October 2024, began when JFB’s truck rear-ended a car at a red light. Under the influence of methamphetamine, JFB reportedly fled, causing a trail of collisions as he panicked, according to antaranews.com. 

Police confirmed his positive drug test, with Chief  Zain said, “Driving under the influence of drugs is extremely dangerous.”

The driver was stopped after striking 10 cars and six motorcycles, with six people injured but no fatalities.
