inp.polri.go.id - East Java. The Free Food Service Center (SPPG) of Tulungagung Sub-regional Police was inaugurated and is ready for operation. The operational launch of the SPPG was conducted online by the Inspector General of the Indonesian National Police (Irwasum Polri) representing the National Police Chief, General Listiyo Sigit Prabowo, on Wednesday (August 6, 2025).

The SPPG launch was also attended by the Tulungagung Regional Leadership Communication Forum and community members. The SPPG stands majestically on 3,114 square meters of land, with a building area of 400 square meters.

A total of 49 volunteers will man the SPPG, consisting of Bhayangkari, wives of police civil servants, the police family, and the surrounding community. The presence of volunteers is a key pillar in supporting production activities targeting vulnerable groups, namely children and pregnant and breastfeeding mothers.

Tulungagung Sub-regional Police Chief, Superintendent Muhammad Taat Resdi, stated that the Tulungagung SPPG was selected as one of the most representative within the East Java Regional Police. The entire process of construction and operation of the SPPG was carried out seriously and with full commitment.

"We don't want to play around. This concerns the health, nutritional intake, and safety of the food consumed daily by school children and pregnant and breastfeeding mothers," explained Taat on Sunday (8/10/2025).

According to Taat, the Tulungagung SPPG was built 100% in accordance with the standards and technical specifications set by the National Nutrition Agency (BGN).

Taat further states that his party is also expected to serve as a role model for the development of SPPGs within the Indonesian National Police (INP) and beyond. Taat stated that the SPPG is scheduled to begin operating on August 21, 2025, pending the appointment of a Head of SPPG.

“The SPPG is planned to produce 3,857 portions of nutritious food daily," he explained.
