The indonesian National Police (INP)’s Bhayangkara Hospital in Kramat Jati, East Jakarta have identified two burned skeletons found in the ACC Kwitang building, Central Jakarta, as those of Reno Syahputra Dewo and Muhammad Farhan Hamid, who were reported missing after the August 29 riots.
“The remains labeled postmortem 0080 matched antemortem 002 and were identified as Reno Syahputra Dewo, while postmortem 0081 matched antemortem 001, identified as Muhammad Farhan Hamid,” said Brigadier General Sumy Hastry Purwanti, the Head of the INP’s Forensic Laboratory, at a press conference on Friday (7/11/2025), as reported by antaranews.com.
DNA analysis confirmed the identities, supported by secondary evidence including bone structure and personal items such as a necklace and belt buckle.
The case, now handled by the Jakarta Metro Jaya Regional Police, involves remains discovered on 30 October 2025 on the second floor of the burned ACC Kwitang building, which was damaged during the August unrest.
