Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran Sulaiman and Minister of Investment and Downstreaming Rosan Perkasa Roeslani, who also serves as CEO of Indonesian sovereign wealth fund Danantara, have agreed to accelerate agricultural and livestock downstreaming projects worth Rp371 trillion ($22 billion) to strengthen national food sovereignty.
“Under the President’s directive, we are pursuing downstreaming jointly with the Minister of Investment and Danantara. The total planned investment reaches around Rp 371 trillion,” Minister Amran said during a press briefing on Friday (7/11/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.
The initiative prioritizes key commodities, including coconut, cocoa, cashew, palm oil, and copra, to expand employment, enhance export competitiveness, and increase farmers’ income.
Minister Amran noted the program could raise coconut export value from Rp24 trillion to Rp2,400 trillion and create up to three million new jobs in four years.
Minister Rosan added that Danantara will “fully support and evaluate” the projects to ensure timely implementation and tangible benefits for local communities.
