inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Police have successfully identified two of the eight bodies of the Glodok Plaza fire victims based on DNA. However, the identification carried out did not match the antemortem data from the families who reported missing.
"We found two full male DNA profiles but they did not match with any of the reported missing victims," explained Head Bureau of Police Medical Unit, Brigadier General Nyoman Eddy at the Kramatjati Bhayangkara Hospital, East Jakarta on Wednesday (3/5/2025).
He said that the data of missing people are two men and six women. However, when matched with the two men who were declared missing, it was not identical to the two bodies.
For the other six bodies, he said, they could not be identified based on DNA. However, if new property or antemortem data is found later, identification will be attempted again.
