"On average, they are going to work in Jakarta and are isolated because the arterial road is still submerged in floodwater. They gathered at the Gabus Exit Toll Gate on the Cibitung-Tanjung Priok section," explained the Head of the Cikampek Highway Patrol of the Indonesian National Police Traffic Corps, Police Senior Inspector Sandy Titah Nugraha on Wednesday (3/5/2025).

He explained that at around 08.30 am, the authorities then took action and escorted the motorcycles crossing the toll road, free of charge.

Escorted by a patrol car, the motorcycle riders walked in a two-line formation. They then exited at the Tarumajaya Toll Road.

"As an act of humanity and showing empathy to those facing the flash flood disaster in Bekasi, police discretion is carried out by fully escorting all two-wheeled drivers crossing the Cibitung-Tanjung Priok Toll Road to ensure their safety," he said.
