inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Marine and Air Unit of Indonesian National Police (INP) Security Maintenance Agency monitored the flood situation in Greater Jakarta using a helicopter. This was done to ensure that flood victims were handled properly and quickly.

"We empathize with the flood disaster that occurred in the Greater Jakarta area. We pray that the affected residents will be given strength, so that they can face this disaster strongly, especially in this holy month of Ramadan," said Head of Marine and Air Unit, Inspector General Yassin Kosasih on Wednesday (3/5/2025).

He explained that Yasin and his party had deployed around 200 personnel. They are divided into eight points, including Jati Rasa Housing, Jati Asih, Pondok Gede Permai, and Kebon Pala.

"We are also monitoring the situation in the Pondok Ungu area. It is quite severe there and there are not enough personnel, so this area will be our priority to deploy personnel and equipment as it looks like many houses are still submerged," he said.

Yassin ensured that the police will continue to try to handle and provide assistance to the affected victims.
