Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. In a remarkable achievement, two members of the Indonesian National Police (INP) have earned recognition as top graduates of the 34th Zemi Class at the Police Science College (STIK) in Jakarta. The Zemi Class is a collaborative effort between the INP and the Japanese National Police, as reported by antaranews.com. Brigadier General Nurul Azizah, the Director of the Bachelor's Degree Programme at STIK, announced the names of the top graduates, Ilham Yuliani and Ade Hertiawan, in Jakarta on Saturday (2/3/3034). She attributed their success to their active engagement and adept problem-solving skills in developing community policing strategies. The 34th Zemi class, comprising active INP personnel, underwent 10 intensive sessions focused on exploring various aspects of community policing, drawing inspiration from Japanese policing practices. Since 2005, the Japanese National Police has played a pivotal role in promoting community policing initiatives in Indonesia, particularly through programs such as neighborhood policing or Bhabinkamtibmas, which play a significant role in community policing. Inspector General Izawa Kazuo, the Programme Manager of the Support Programme for Reform of the INP, praised the students' enthusiasm and dedication during the short yet effective training sessions.
