Inp.polri.go.id - Depok. Universitas Indonesia (UI) Rector Heri Hermansyah confirmed on Monday (13/4/2026) that the university is closely monitoring an investigation into alleged sexual harassment involving students at the Faculty of Law.

"The Faculty of Law has responded to the reports, and the rectorate will oversee the handling process to ensure justice," said Rector Heri Hermansyah at the UI Depok campus, as cited by antaranews.com.

The investigation was triggered by leaked chat screenshots circulating online on Sunday, which allegedly contain inappropriate content and indicators of sexual harassment. The Faculty of Law issued a formal statement condemning any behavior that violates academic ethics or human dignity. 

Authorities are currently verifying the evidence while prioritizing the safety of the campus community. The university has pledged to take stern disciplinary action and coordinate with law enforcement if criminal elements are verified, emphasizing a zero-tolerance policy toward sexual harassment.
