The vessel, en route from Sriracha, Thailand to Bunbury, Australia, reported the incident to the SAR Center in Pangkalpinang

“We received a medical evacuation request from Captain Ivan Vishnov of the MV Port Nara after crew member Pasechiniuk Levgenii, 37, displayed symptoms of a suspected urethral blockage,” I Made Oka Astawa, the SAR Head in Pangkalpinang, said, as reported by antaranews.com..

Responding to the call, a rescue team comprising SAR personnel, KN SAR Karna crew, health quarantine officers, and the local air and water police's patrol unit departed aboard the KN SAR Karna 246, captained by Dear Tama Sinaga.

The evacuation operation, conducted approximately 34 nautical miles from Pangkalbalam Port, proceeded smoothly.

“We coordinated with medical officers from the Health Quarantine Center to provide initial treatment,” added Astawa.
