Inp.polri.go.id - Bogor. West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi confirmed that environmental authorities found violations of standard operating procedures at PT Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa, linked to the recent “cement rain” incident in Citeureup, Bogor.
“The Environmental Agency deployed a team for field checks, and procedure breaches in production were identified,” he said on Sunday (17/8/2025)via his official social media, as quoted by antaranews.com
The governor added that sanctions could range from administrative penalties and fines to more severe legal action.
Local officials said the incident occurred during equipment maintenance on 10 August 2025, briefly dispersing cement dust across one neighborhood. Mediation between residents, the company, and local administration followed the next day.
PT Indocement has since offered mobile health services under its CSR program, providing check-ups, vitamins, and nutrition education for 150 residents. The company said it remains committed to improving community health.
