Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. A viral video circulating on social media claiming that Luppo brand snack cakes contain dangerous, paralysis-inducing tablets has been declared a hoax.

An investigation by anti-hoax platform turnbackhoax.id on Sunday (12/7/2026) revealed that the video was highly likely filmed in the Kurdistan region of Northern Iraq rather than Indonesia, as Kurdish can be heard spoken at the end of the footage. 

This issue is suspected to be related to attempts to boycott Turkish products in that region back in 2019.

The manufacturing company behind the Luppo snack line has strongly refuted the allegations presented in the video, reassuring consumers that all of its products are safe and subject to strict quality control.
