inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka expressed his support for digitalization and artificial intelligence (AI)-based learning in Islamic boarding schools (pesantren).
This support was conveyed during a reception at the Miftahul Huda II Islamic Boarding School in Bayasari, Ciamis, as part of the government's efforts to strengthen human resource development through technology-based education.
A representative from the Islamic boarding school, K.H. Iqbal Syihabudin, stated that the Vice President enthusiastically welcomed the AI and digitalization programs that will be implemented for students and the community.
"The government has an AI and digital program, and he is eager for it to be implemented directly by students and the community," said Kyai Iqbal.
Furthermore, the Islamic boarding school invited the Vice President Gibran to attend an alumni reunion to be held on May 29-31, 2026, through the Miftahul Huda II Alumni Association (HAMIDU).
On this occasion, the Vice President is also expected to inaugurate the An-Nawawi College, which is currently under construction as part of the development of formal education within the Islamic boarding school.
