Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. The Indonesian Vice President Ma’ruf Amin says the media is one of the effective instruments in spreading goodness and positive values to maintain state unity.

“Media sharing is also part of our public service, thus we have to maintain the good quality of the content to be in accordance with the applicable norm and values,” said Ma’ruf Amin on Wednesday (5/8/2024).

He stressed that the media has a crucial role as their contents could affect the people’s character and steer the perception and behavior of the community.

“If we use it well, media could play a major role in uniting the state, and also vice versa. If we are not careful, the media can instead cause disruptions,” explained Ma’ruf Amin.

The VP asked the media and all related stakeholders involved in production and management content to continue adding positive values that would be shared to the public.
