Inp.polri.go.id - West Bandung. The Disaster Victim Identification (DVI) team of the West Java Regional Police has identified 30 bodies recovered from the devastating landslide in Pasirlangu Village, Cisarua.
As of Tuesday evening (27/1/2026), the Joint SAR team has delivered a total of 48 body bags to the DVI post, with forensic experts working urgently to reconcile post-mortem data with family records (ante-mortem).
"Of the 48 body bags received, we have successfully identified 30 individuals, all of whom have been returned to their respective families for burial," said West Java Police Head of Public Relations Senior Superintendent Hendra Rochmawan, as cited by antaranews.com.
To expedite the search for the remaining missing persons, the West Java Police have deployed the K9 SAR Tracking Detachment. These specialized units are being used to detect victims buried under deep layers of mud in sectors where heavy machinery cannot operate due to steep terrain or unstable ground.
