Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Regulatory Agency for Upstream Oil and Gas (BPH Migas) has officially announced a reduction in subsidized fuel quotas for 2026., including a significant 6.28% cut for Pertalite and a 1.32% decrease for subsidized Solar.

The decision came after government efforts in 2025 to tighten distribution controls, which resulted in state savings of approximately IDR 4.9 trillion.

"BPH Migas has finalized the quota for JBT and JBKP for 2026," stated Wahyudi Anas, the Head of BPH Migas, during a hearing with Commission XII of the House of Representatives (DPR) on Tuesday (27/1/2026), referring to the Specific Fuel Types and Assigned Fuel Types.

The data reveals that the 2026 quota for Pertalite is set at 29.26 million kiloliters (kl), down from 31.23 million kl in 2025. Subsidized Solar has been capped at 18.63 million kl. Conversely, Kerosene  saw a slight increase of 0.19%.

The government imposed the subsidized fuel quotas reduction to ensure subsidies are increasingly targeted toward eligible citizens rather than exceeding annual budget allocations.
