Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Directorate General of Immigration has firmly denied accusations that insiders manipulated the online registration system for the supporting letter for working holiday visa (SDUWHV), following public protests and complaints of unfair selection.

“All procedures are handled by the system, no longer by individuals, and there is no insider interference,” said Chicco Ahmad Muttaqin, the Director of Immigration Information Technology, during a hearing with the House of Representatives (DPR)’s Commission XIII on Monday (24/11/2025), as reported by antaranews.com.

The suspicion emerged after the digital system crashed due to an overwhelming 1.4 million user access spike on Google Cloud, preventing applicants from seeing remaining quota slots on their personal dashboards. 

Immigration Office explained that seemingly random email notifications were actually targeted to the first 5,000 applicants who had met the quota but were unable to continue to stage-two verification because of the system failure.

Acting Immigration Director General Yuldi Yusman stressed that the disruption stemmed purely from infrastructure weaknesses, not foul play by staff.
