Inp.polri.go.id - Bandung. The West Java Regional Police confirmed on Friday (27/2/2026) that the Jakarta-Cikampek (Japek) II South Toll Road will be opened functionally to accommodate the 2026 Eid al-Fitr holidays.
The decision was taken to reduce heavy traffic congestion typically seen during the homecoming and return flows. Authorities finalized the plan following a joint inspection by the National Police Traffic Corps and regional leadership.
"The Japek II South will be opened functionally, particularly during the return flow, to break up vehicle density," said West Java Police’s Director of Traffic Senior Superintendent Raydian Kokrosono, as reported by antaranews.com.
In addition to the Japek II South, a 6-kilometer section of the Bogor-Cianjur-Sukabumi (Bocimi) Toll Road Section 3 is expected to open to bypass congestion at Cibadak Market.
Chief Raydian said that these openings remain situational, depending on real-time traffic volume. The police have identified five primary security clusters, including toll roads, arterial routes, and tourist hubs, to ensure optimal safety during the "Operation Ketupat 2026" period.
