Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. The West Java Regional Police have deployed 500 personnel to Sumedang Regency to help the evacuation process of victims affected by the earthquake.
“Following the disaster back on the New Year Eve, we immediately deployed around 500 personnel consisted of Mobile Brigade, Samapta, and Sumedang Sub-regional Police personnel,” says West Java Regional Police Public Relations Chief, Senior Superintendent Ibrahim Tompo on Wednesday (1/3/2024).
He explains that the presence of the hundreds personnel were for the evacuation process while also to ensure the safety of the affected victims.
“We have indeed conducted the operation post-disaster, to even go as far mapped the affected victims as we prioritized the safety of the victims,” explains Ibrahim.
According to him, his party has intensified blue light patrol in several areas affected by the earthquake in Sumerdang to anticipate and prevent criminal action potentials. Moreover, West Java Regional Police, along with related stakeholders have also prepared personnel for security purposes in case of another disaster.
