Inp.polri.go.id - West Sumatera. In response to the Mount Marapi eruption, the West Sumatra Regional Police has taken the initiative to open a public kitchen, confirmed Police Senior Superintendent Dwi Sulistyawan, Head of West Sumatera Regional Police's Public Relations, on Tuesday (5/12/23).
He stated that this public kitchen serves to provide assistance to residents affected by the natural disaster and to support personnel involved in evacuation efforts due to the volcanic eruption.
"The police officers work tirelessly to ensure smooth food distribution, offering assistance to those in need. This initiative not only reflects the police's commitment to maintaining security but also demonstrates solidarity and empathy for the difficulties faced by the local community," he elaborated.
West Sumatra Regional Police is maintaining active coordination with various parties, including disaster management agencies and the military, to ensure that aid and support effectively reach the targets, he concluded.
