Inp.polri.go.id - PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia China  (KCIC) assured passengers on Sunday (28/4/2024) that Whoosh was running smoothly despite a 6.2 magnitude earthquake on Saturday. 

Whoosh's schedule for Sunday remained unchanged, according to antaranews.com.

Eva Chairunisa, the Corporate Secretary of PT KCIC, emphasized that Whoosh's infrastructure was built to withstand earthquakes up to magnitude 8. 

A comprehensive inspection, carried out from 12.30 am to 3 am on Sunday confirmed the safety of all operational facilities, she said.

Eva said that Whoosh emergency sensors promptly detected the earthquake, allowing for immediate implementation of inspection protocols.

She highlighted the advanced technology used in Whoosh's buildings and facilities, ensuring durability and longevity. 

With sensors detecting seismic activity, KCIC implemented precautionary measures.
