Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs said platform X has committed to ensuring its artificial intelligence feature, Grok, is not used to produce pornographic content, following a formal clarification meeting in Jakarta.
The Ministry summoned X on Tuesday (13/1/2026) to address concerns over the misuse of AI tools, particularly those affecting women and children, based on platform accountability and legal compliance in Indonesia.
“X has confirmed it will ensure Grok cannot be used to generate pornographic content and will take action against accounts proven to violate regulations,” said Alexander Sabar, the Director General of Digital Space Supervision, as quoted by antaranews.com.
He added that the Ministry will continue monitoring X’s compliance and evaluating its content moderation measures.
Under Indonesian law, all digital service providers must register, moderate prohibited content, and respond promptly to takedown orders. Failure to comply may result in administrative sanctions or service suspension.
